MAN IN THE SAND
This is the documentary directed by Kim Hopkins that chronicles the making of MERMAID AVENUE, the two album collaboration between Billy Bragg, Wilco, Corey Harris and Natalie of putting Woody Guthrie lyrics to newly composed music. The film is a very entertaining look at the interaction between the musicians and their associations with the Woody Guthrie legend. Nora Guthrie (daughter of Woody and founder/director of the Guthrie archives) also plays an important role in the film.
