TRINITY REVISITED

Merchant collaborates with The Cowboy Junkies to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first album by filming a DVD

October 18, 2007

The Canadian band The Cowboy Junkies celebrated the 20th anniversary of their first album, “The Trinity Session” in 2007. To commemorate the event they asked Natalie, Ryan Adams and Vic Chestnut to join them in recording all the songs included in that original release at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Toronto where the album was made in 1987. The performance was filmed in High Definition Video and has been released with a CD of the music.

“The Cowboy Junkies’ “To Love is to Bury” has topped my all-time favorite song list for many years. When Michael Timmons asked if I would like to be a part of Trinity Revisited there was no hesitation. He is such a talented songwriter.”
