Hello,
Well, here it is, the new and improved nm.com. We hope
you enjoy the changes and additions that have been made to the site. I think
I seared holes in the surfaces of my retinas from all the hours spent peering
into my computer screen. I wanted to give you a site that contained much more
music and some animation to liven up your screen. The design work was lots of
fun and I've learned so much from the talented folks at Chaoskitty. They are
the geniuses at delivering sound and image files with grace, speed and economy.
The standard sections from the previous sitemap remain in place
(LETTERS, DISCOGRAPHY,
TIMELINE & LYRICS) and
here's an outline of the rest:
A separate NEWS section to give you notice of upcoming and ongoing projects. There is now a POETRY section currently featuring a collection of Polynesian Haiku. The MUSIC section has a display of
"work in progress" visit here to listen to both a home demo and final studio version of the song "Golden Boy". I've recorded a traditional hymn, "The Good Old Way" and it has been edited together with an animated photo montage in the BURIED TREASURE section. This will be a sort of wild card area for the site's special features that are hard to pigeon hole. There is an INTERVIEW section where I answer questions that have come into the site. Your beloved bulletin board is now found under POSTINGS and you will also find CONTACTS & LINKS in that same submenu.
I've always felt that this site could be used as a creative forum rather than just a place to check concert dates, a discography or a buy t-shirt. We hope to be adding more experiments in music, poetry and visual art to the site over time so check in from now and again.
Take Care,
Natalie
P.S. Spring has finally arrived and for some of us it means waiting for the last frost, then break ground for the garden. I wanted to share my gardening links in case there is anyone else out there who finds illustrated seed catalogues and a well forged pick fork as exciting as I do...
