Walt Whitman at The Library of Congress

On a recent visit to The Library of Congress, Natalie had the privilege of meeting Dr. Barbara Blair, curator of Literature, Culture, and the Arts in the Manuscript Division and was shown an impressive array of Walt Whitman treasures.

In response to Natalie’s song about Whitman, “Song of Himself” from her new album, and her response to the Library’s collection, Dr. Blair wrote a beautiful account of the encounter on Whitman’s birthday.
